The main rule of motor insurance

Compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (OGPO VTS) protects not your car but third parties: if you cause an accident, the insurance company compensates the injured parties for the damage.

What to remember:

  • every car that goes on the road needs a policy;
  • all drivers who drive the car are listed in the policy;
  • the price depends on the region of registration, the type and age of the car, the drivers' experience and age, and their accident history;
  • driving without a policy is an administrative offence.
